How to become a RTS Professional
Yes one can constantly train 8 to 12 hours a night, but let me introduce you to some guys that can help you fix all those problems you may not know you have.
I’ve been chatting lately with Chad of RTS Professional about the website and the video and audio guides found there that help players get better faster in Real Time Strategy games like StarCraft, WarCraft III and more.
On their website you can find video guides of professional players gaming and explaining their strategies in action. This is better then someone guiding you in a game because your focus is completely on the videos and commentary. In fact in some of their latest Starcraft videos, Gentho has used some fresh gameplay replays from some of the recent Ascension series tournament games. Ascension is basically a series of games between some of the top US/European Starcraft players in the world right now.
They are some of the best players in the world and also do an excellent job of explaining everything that is going on, their mindset and what to do next and more…
btw Gentho and his friend Artosis are representing MediaEsports.com in our 2on2 Starcraft fansite tournament running right now!
These videos below are from their video guides
Arthosis and Gentho team up for a 2on2 guide, they will also be teamed up during the Blizzard Sponsored 2on2 tournament.
On RTS Professional you can find more then just invaluable StarCraft tactical training guides, but also WarCraft III strategy commentary guides and also very important, their RTS Fundamentals program.
The Fundamentals program is a set of audio files that Gentho created which you can download and listen too on your iPod, or just lay on your coach and let iTunes play em. I recently ordered this system myself to check it out, and come to find out it has a lot of useful and insightful information to help players get better in their RTS game(no matter what game it is!) Now my only critique is that they could cover more Starcraft related tactical micro aspects and the audios could be a bit longer with more examples provided and I spoke to Gentho about this directly and he agrees. In fact his working on more audio training guides at the moment...
